Pratt Free School is a day of free classes open to the public and taught by alumni from the Pratt Graduate Communications Design Department. This year we’re focusing on design as it relates to CHAOS MAGIC, a philosophy that encourages experimentation, play, and creativity while discarding dogmatic rules.
Organized by Communication Committee, a group of five second year students in the GradComD program. Throughout the academic year, CC act as a liaison between students in the program and the GradComD administration at Pratt. Their goals are to facilitate communication within the program by providing advice and tips, answering questions, and being a point of contact, as well as foster community, creativity, professional development, and growth by planning events, organizing workshops, and bringing speakers to campus.
